Our mission.
After World War II, more than 300,000 soldiers returned home to Wisconsin—13,000 of them wounded. Affordable healthcare was urgently needed. WPS was created in 1946 to help fill that gap. What began as an act of service grew into a company built for people and structured to stay that way.
We continue to deliver trusted expertise in a complex industry while caring deeply for our members—seniors, individuals, families and active-duty or retired military. We are constantly exploring new ways to bring value and improve healthcare access.

Health Plans: Fully Insured, Level-Funded, Self-Funded, Short-Term, Individual & Family and Medicare Supplement Plans.
