Password Requirements for WPS Community Manager and WPS Gateway Express.

To meet WPS corporate and federal security mandates, the following password policies are in place:

  • Must contain at least 15 – 30 characters
  • Must contain a lowercase letter
  • Must contain an uppercase letter
  • Must contain a number
  • Must contain a special character - only the characters listed are allowed * ! @ # $ % ^ & ()
  • Must change before it expires
  • Must not contain words found in the dictionary
  • Must not contain user’s first and/or last name
  • Must not contain user’s username
  • Passwords expire every 365 days
  • Cannot use 24 previous passwords
  • Account locks after three (3) failed login attempts in a 60 minute timeframe and remains locked for 60 minutes afterwards.
WPS Community Manager allows your office to self-register for EDI and self-manage your account details. Once registered, you have the ability to assign additional users from your company, add or change contact names and email addresses, and reset passwords. Your account also allows you to determine which transactions you'll be submitting and/or receiving, and for which WPS lines of business.

WPS Gateway Express allows your office to transmit and receive EDI data over a secure connection. WPS Gateway Express allows you to view your EDI transaction history, including which claim files you’ve previously submitted and which electronic remittance files you’ve previously received.
